Cannonkit is designed for serious woodworkers—those who would like to make a replica Civil War cannon. This kit is based upon a 1/5 scale Napoleon. A smoothbore cannon that was the workhorse of the Civil War artillery. The guns versatility in long-range or short-range was unsurpassed. The barrel is over fourteen inches long and made of solid brass. All metal components, hardware and print are included. You supply the wood and the tools.
What You Get
- Full size drawings, you can take measurements, check layout, or use as a template
- Steel axle with brass bushing and key
- Brass bushing allows wheel to turn freely
- Pull out key to remove wheel
- Elevation screw with brass nut
- Turn screw to raise or lower barrel
- Fold down rear pointing ring. This is needed for transporting cannon
- All metal components shown are supplied
- Parts come ready to assemble with holes drilled
- Parts are not painted
- All bolts, nuts, washers, screws are supplied
- You supply wood and tools needed to do job
- You can personalize by adding implements such as hand spikes, tar bucket, rammer, sponges, worm, rope, etc.
